About the event
“If you had a small group of mental and physical meta-learners together for four days in the wilderness – and no limitations set on you – what would you do?”
This training is based on the methodology and evolution of the “Jedi Training” classes, intensives, and retreats that have been developed over the last 10 years. The Jedi program is designed to push practitioners in discovering new limits, acknowledging those limits, and then stepping past them. But this particular program is special – because it is designed not only to push your edges, but to teach you how to continue to push them when you are alone. Group learning is only the beginning.
What is Jedi Training?
It is a construct for us to explore expansion and possibility through work, tenacity, will, fear, confidence and unity. It is a series of practices designed to gain greater understanding of the incredible link between the mind and body. Our mission is to create humility, compassion, awareness and power – in ourselves and others. What you choose to do with this new found force is up to you. Teach it, expand it, take it into your profession, athletic endeavors, or relationships. We just hope that you use it for growth and good. It is really more of “life training”…
The Jedi Training practice is based on 6 methodologies:
- Ashtanga Vinyasa (breath and asana linked)
- Kundalini Kriyas (repetitive movement patterns)
- Long holds (based on the early teachings of Dharma Mittra)
- Meditation (cultivation of mental strength and control)
- Group dynamics (using groups to achieve higher levels of performance)
- Personal accountability (taking 100% ownership of your own power)
As students, this intensive will explore the foundational structure of how to blend these principles into personal training and how to grow that practice beyond the initial profound possibilities that experience tends to open up. In short, it will delve into the basics and then move beyond into more challenging extensions of the Jedi forms.
As potential jedi training teachers, the intensive will cover the basics of creating a class, workshop, or private training experience. We will focus not only on the classic formula, but also on the ability to adapt the format (exercises, mantras, music, leadership styles, etc) to meet the needs of a wide variety of non-yoga demographics including:
- Athletes (amatuer and professional)
- The elderly
- Teens/ at risk youth
- Young professionals/corporate team building
We will also devote time to helping trainees build the ability to create “energetic buy-in” – one of the most important attributes required to teach the Jedi practice to others.
It is our goal that you will leave the intensive with a strong desire to continue in the evolution of this work. The 4-day experience will be extremely demanding, requiring 12 hours (not all physical) of attention each day. We will consider it successful as facilitators if the following happens to each student:
- Expand your physical capability
- Expand your mental power
- Learn techniques to build safe and challenging self progressions
- Learn the art of teaching Jedi Training to others
- Build awareness of your relationships and how your power ebbs and flows through them
- Have fun (even if it is in retrospect!)
The Jedi Training Power Intensive includes:
- Delicious meals and snacks (vegetarian and meat options)
- Camping (likely tents and pads provided**) on a beautiful river nearby
- 4 days of training including: Jedi-training yoga, meditation, functional fitness, endurance work, and challenge.
- Progressive “Jedi Training” physical and mental protocols
- Some free time. Plenty of place for slackline and acro play and training.
- Support of an amazing staff of tough and compassionate fellow Jedis
- Nature at it’s finest. With trails, a river, and mountains at your doorstep.
- Swag from various sponsors!
This is the event we’ve dreamed of creating for years. We’re drawing from all the things and people that have inspired and taught us over the years, alongside ideologies and techniques that we created to help our own quests. This Jedi training is our answer to this question: “If you had a small group of mental and physical meta-learners together for four days in the wilderness – and no limitations set on you – what would you do?”

FAQs
What does a “regular” training day look like?
We like surprises, so we don’t want to give to much away. And learning how to deal with change and unknown obstacles is part of the training. You can however for sure expect lots of laughing, sweat, hard work, probably some tears (but not too many), “runners high”, and lots of great discussion.
What if I have never trained with Jason or Chelsey before?
Contact us, and we will go from there! It is more of a recommendation, as those that know us know what they are getting into.
